Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

WRHS’s Forensics competitive team welcomes all students wishing to expand their public speaking skills. Team members can participate in events ranging from debate to congress to public speaking to interpretation of literature. Local invitational tournaments attract high schools from the Colorado-Wyoming region, thus offering unique travel and social experiences. Local competitions are usually held on Saturdays. In the past, Wheat Ridges’ team has competed at Stanford University in California and Harvard in Massachusetts.

The WRHS Travels Club inspires the next generation of global citizens through WRHS Student Travel Opportunities.

The travel club is open to all students, and students enrolled in WRHS international trips are automatically members. WRHS Travels Club prepares students to be confident world travelers, promotes global understanding, and fosters global connections through culture, language, cuisine, history, and more.

Junior Optimists International (JOI) and Optimist International is a service club that believes our youth are the future. Meetings are all designed around building strong student lead community building activities. National Art Honor Society

National Art Honor Society is a student-run organization for artists and aspiring artists to come together to create, share, and enjoy each other’s company. NAHS is a nationally recognized club with more than 33,000 members nationwide - a place where we get our art out into the community, whether it is displayed in our school, our city, or even internationally. Members meet twice per month on average. Members who fulfill all of the requirements will receive a Varsity Letter in Art, an official NAHS t-shirt and seniors will graduate with a NAHS cord.

National Honor Society recognizes students who achieve outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership and service. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and are invited to join at the end of their freshman year. National Honor Society participates in service projects throughout the year and sponsors Senior Awards Night. Meetings are once a month on the 1st Thursday of the month after school in the Choir Room.
